as if you were a rainbow
with gold at both ends."

Insurance
At A Well Place, services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance plan. If you decide to use your insurance, you will be responsible for any copayments or deductible amounts. Prior to the start of treatment you will need to contact your insurance company to determine whether a prior authorization is required.
We accept the following health insurance plans:
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield
- Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare
- United Behavioral Healthcare
Out-of-Network Benefits
If we do not take your insurance you may consider utilizing out-of-network benefits. Your insurance company will likely reimburse you for services. If so, on a monthly basis, A Well Place, LLC will provide you with an invoice containing the necessary coding and information that insurance companies require to process your claim. Contact your insurance company to see if your plan covers “out-of-network” mental health providers. You can check your coverage by asking the following questions:
-
Do I have out of network mental health (or behavioral health) insurance benefits?
-
What is my out of network deductible (if any) and has it been met yet by other medical expenses?
-
What is the coverage amount (or percentage) per therapy session?
Out-of-Pocket Payment
Some people choose to pay out of pocket and avoid insurance completely. It is a lesser known fact that insurance companies require a diagnosis so they can decide if they will pay for therapy or not. This means your therapist must give you a diagnosis that your insurance will cover even if you don’t really need a diagnosis. Insurance companies also determine the time intervals that they will pay for and the therapy models they will accept, meaning that you and your therapist are bound by the insurance companies’ belief about what is an appropriate length of time to resolve issues and what therapies are best for you. If you can afford to pay out-of-pocket it’s worth considering how much you value your privacy and control over your own treatment decisions.
Accepted Forms of Payment
Credit cards are accepted forms of payment. Medical Benefit or FSA Cards are also accepted. Payment is required at the start of each session.
